Equine Reiki

Reiki can transform horses just as much as it can transform people. They are more sensitive to and influenced by energy than we are! That's why energy healing for horses can be so beneficial. These sessions are focused on Reiki energy and sound balancing with a tuning fork (optional) to bring harmony to the subtle energy systems and encourage healing and relaxation.

Horses have chakras and meridians as humans do, and to be in an optimal state, their energy must be healthy, flowing, and balanced. Reiki can assist horses in healing emotional wounds, physical ailments, behaviour or attitude issues, and restore their inner power and vitality. 

A tuning fork is a wonderful tool that supports energetic harmony and flow by resonating back to the horse, where their energy is out of balance. The vibrations are picked up in the electromagnetic field (aura) and relayed back to the horse's body so that the body can heal itself where needed. Combining Reiki and tuning forks creates a healing environment that allows the horse to relax, rest, and repair. 

Energy healing has been known to help horses with trauma, stress, and digestive issues. It can calm anxiety and create a beautiful environment for end-of-life situations. It's also a great maintenance tool to complement other modalities such as massage, chiropractic, acupuncture, and osteopathy. 

What does a session look like?

Equine Reiki sessions can be hands-on or hands-off, depending on the horse. I focus on the eight main chakras, as well as the knees, elbows, hocks, and hooves. Nearing the end of the session, I will comb the aura with a tuning fork to support the healing of the Reiki energy.

How do I know it's working?

You'll know if your horse is fully embracing the energy healing if they're licking their lips, yawning, hanging their head, closing their eyes, resting a foot, or falling asleep completely. 

Why horses?

Having been around horses all of my life, and riding them for twenty-four years, my equine friends have taught me so much about energy. They have healed me throughout my life by teaching me patience, communication, letting go of the ego, and how to love unconditionally. My horse, Roxy, is my best friend of thirteen years and is always there for me when I need emotional support. 

My passion for horses and healing has led me to incorporate equine healing sessions into my holistic practice. Love is a powerful energy, and there is no lack of love when it comes to being around these magical creatures!

As a Reiki Master, intuitive, and horseback rider of 24 years,  I bring tremendous energy, experience and knowledge into each session.

Equine Reiki healing sessions are 75 minutes long and available in Victoria and surrounding areas.
